EYEBALL 2009
Sadly the decision was necessary not to hold a ball in 2009. After much thought and investigation, committee chairman Martin Griffith confirmed that the economic climate meant that making a success of such an event at that time could simply not be guarantee. The Friends' Trustees reluctantly accepted the situation, but ............ EYEBALL 2010 It is hoped that a special "25th Anniversary Ball" will be organised on Saturday 27th November 2010. EYEBALL 2008 Our last EyeBall - THE SHANGHAI BALL - took place at the Hotel Intercontinental in London's Park Lane in November 2008, raising an amazing £30,000 towards the cost of pioneering research at Moorfields into the impact of eye conditions on day-to-day activities. The Friends of Moorfields are extremely grateful to the Ball Committee for organising such a wonderful evening for more than 320 guests and for raising a considerable sum at a difficult time . |
