Legacies
Legacies in support of the Friends of Moorfields are most welcome and we are always very grateful for such support.
The simplest method is to ask your Solicitor to include a legacy on the following lines in your Will: "I hereby bequeath the sum of ......... free of all taxes to the Friends of Moorfields, Moorfields Eye Hospital, 162 City Road, London EC1V 2PD (Registered Charity No.228637) for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or Administrator thereof shall be a good discharge for such a legacy." If you prefer that all or part of that legacy should be directed to a specific aspect of the Friends work, such as in the field of research or in work among children or with the purchase of equipment, you should ask your Solicitor to make that request clear in the wording of that section of the Will.
