Special Appeals
SPECIAL APPEALS
We have no special appeal in progress at the moment. The Friends' Trustees regularly consider granting funds for specific items of equipment required by consultants and for work in other areas of Moorfields. Regular commitment is made to various aspects of day-to-day life in the hospital, such as: - the play scheme in the Children's Centre - fish tanks - magazines for patients' waiting areas and funds have been promised for a wide selection of work which may otherwise go unsupported, including: - an overhaul of patients' information leaflets - the creation of a special DVD for those with Thyroid Eye Disease - a special extension project in the A&E - a Forum Day for Pemphigold patients - purchase of assessment equipment for a new paediatric consultation room - a microwave oven for staff members working in the evenings or weekends - digital Blood Pressure Machines for use in clinics 2 and 3 Potential donors are invited to contact the Friends' office to discuss where funds are needed at any given time or to make their own target suggestions.
